Due to health concerns and/or hybrid schedules, we understand that returning fully to the classroom is not be viable. We are offering personalized, distance learning and/or in-person academic support with K to 12 educators in individual and group formats. To start the process click on the blue button below.
While we strongly believe that all of our instructors are superb, we know that each child and group of children is unique. Some children simply need a little extra guidance with their schoolwork while others need someone to help them interpret lessons and understand deeper applications of the material. In many cases, our Tier 1 instructors hold additional certifications that may be helpful for your child's learning style and challenges. Debbie Malewicki is always happy to discuss specifics and make recommendations. (203) 800-4100 or Tutoring@Integrity1stLSS.com
These instructors are experienced (2 to 30 years) classroom teachers who are certified. They often hold multiple certifications that may include Special Ed., Reading, Math, and/or ESL.
These instructors recently completed their master's program in Education and earned their certification or are going through the process now. They have completed their student teaching. If they are experienced classroom teachers it's for one to two years.
These instructors are currently enrolled in a master's program in Education. They come highly recommended by their faculty but may or may not have completed their student teacher requirement. They are experienced working with children in paid and/or volunteer capacities and have demonstrated the expertise, patience, and supportive nature we seek in our instructors.
Please note that while the level of expertise the candidates offer varies, they are responsible for the same amount of work and level of commitment to your child(ren), which is why there is not a huge price difference between them. We are confident that anyone we present to you can do a great job meeting the needs of your family. We do encourage families with children with an IEP or who are heading in that direction to explore with us a Tier 1 tutor with a Special Education background. Some of our instructors are not formally certified in Special Ed. but have formally worked in that capacity.
Also, online pods are capped at four children to allow for personalized interactions and the ability of our instructor to read facial expressions and body language. it is also the maximum number of participants our online platform permits. Should an in-person pod need to move online we will use Zoom, but the whiteboard feature isn't available to us there, so the free copies of the screen content will not be available.
Be sure to consider the "Costs" section below the spreadsheet for additional information dependent upon the requested service and some optional purchases to enhance your child(ren)'s experience.
Below you will find a summation of the services we are offering and the pricing. There may be some minor adjustments based upon criteria noted in the "Additional Notes" section. The pricing for the pod options is for the entire pod, in other words, to be split amongst the families, not per child.
We are committed to being as upfront as possible about our services including pricing. In the PDF in the last section, you'll find a breakdown of pricing for our services. Families should take into account the following:
Integrity 1st LSS does not charge for any of the following: travel time or expenses of instructors, standard preparation time for hybrid and distance learning students (see the exceptions above), use of our online platform, credit card payments, movement of in-person sessions to online, and/or securing a replacement instructor in case of illness or inability of an instructor to continue following the conclusion of a contract.
This section is a compilation of advisory and informative articles as well as resources for in-home and online services.
Whether meeting in person or online, all parents in a pod should discuss the answers to the "Questions to Ask and Issues to Consider When Forming a Pod" document to proactively formulate an action plan for different scenarios likely to arise.
Once you are scheduled for an online session, you should download and walk through these instructions with your student. The directions include the link to a five-minute demo video on how the platform operates as well as a breakdown of what technology works best with GoBoard.
We recommend reviewing this information with your child(ren) at least 24 hours before your first session with us to ensure technology compatibility including the right browsers and versions.
